If you’ve been urinating a lot less than normal, you might be experiencing infrequent urination – also known as low urine output.
What causes it?
Dehydration is the most common cause of infrequent urination. Decreased urine output could also be a sign of a urinary tract infection, which is easily treatable but can have serious side effects if left untreated.
Tips?
You can usually improve your fluid circulation by drinking more water. Infrequent urination for more than a day or two or with other physical symptoms like burning or painful urination should be explored further, since it may be symptomatic of a serious condition. You can prevent urinary tract infections by keeping good hygiene, eating a balanced diet and, of course, staying hydrated.
