What causes mood swings? The meaning behind it
Oftentimes, it’s hard to know for sure the cause of a mood swing. Hormones might be at play, especially at certain times in your cycle, or you might be overly stressed, anxious, or sleep deprived. Your diet might be contributing to mood swings, especially if you eat a lot of processed foods and not enough vegetables, or you might not be getting enough exercise.
Tips?
Some good stress-management coping skills are breathing exercises, physical activity, and effective time management. It can also help if you talk through these moods with a trusted family member, friend, or partner – maybe you’ll find that something is bothering you, but you just haven’t noticed it. If you notice frequent mood swings that interfere with your daily life, talk to your provider about your symptoms.
