Kale and cabbage salad healthy pregnancy recipe

Kale is packed with folate, among many other vitamins and minerals, which your baby needs to help him or her build every cell in its body, as it is vital for DNA synthesis. It also helps build your baby’s neural tube, which grows into the brain and spinal cord.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head kale
  • 1 small head purple cabbage
  • 2 apples
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Directions

  1. Chop kale into small pieces, removing the stem, and place into large bowl. Add olive oil and massage Kale for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Chop cabbage and apples into bite sides pieces and add along with raisins to bowl. Toss.
  3. Drizzle with apple cider vinegar.
