Visible veins when pregnant

While you are pregnant, your veins may get more pronounced and visible through your skin.

What causes it?

Even if the extra blood you have in circulation does not swell into your poor leg veins and turn them varicose, the increased amount of blood circulating through your body will make your veins, particularly those in your breasts as your body readies itself for nursing, appear more bold through the skin.

Tips?

These veins will recede to their normal noticeability after you give birth, sometimes with the exception of those on your breasts. These may not disappear until after you stop breastfeeding.
